“Close Watch” – A visit to Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch” got me thinking of audience/event relationships and this piece puts into play a set of figures attending a threatened moment of action (the reddish square suspended above a chopping block).

“Mathematics” – After years of working in steel and bronze a former student in Oklahoma re-acquainted me with plaster technique. I think of this piece as a mapping puzzle for the x,y, and z co-ordinates, though no mathematician may be able to solve it. /div>
